A four day workshop in Cobourg, ON, Canada
Fees: $350 + HST ($395.50)
Enjoy the luxury of learning, exploring, and creating over a four-day long course. With four days set aside for creative play, dive into experimenting with juxtaposing found objects, photo transfer and beauty from nature. Immerse yourself in art and discover inspiration on the shore of Lake Ontario.
Juxtapose fibre art with found objects and natural materials to create a framed, stitched, three-dimensional textile assemblage. Allow the rich textures, brilliant colours and nuanced lines of stitched textiles to interact with the mysterious beauty of the imprinted stone, the gentle branch or a fragile leaf. Incorporate fabric transfers of precious photos, add some nuts and bolts, stitch in some rusted metals and tell a story with scraps of an heirloom quilt. Special instruction will be given in working with copper.
Create an evocative and exciting composition that combines the work of our hands with that of Mother Nature's over time.
